Despite the pandemic, you can still worship with us!

You have three options:

Sunday School is now in person during worship services. Contact the church office for details, (705)946-4949, emmanuel.office@shaw.ca.

The best way to stay abreast of our worship schedule and other church events/activities is to ask to be put on the distribution list for our weekly e-newsletter. Contact the church office, (705)946-4949, emmanuel.office@shaw.ca

All are welcome to attend our service at 10:30 am each Sunday morning at 224 Bennett Blvd. We are a family-friendly church and offer Sunday school during the school year. We welcome all of God’s children, whether you are 6 months old — or 106 years old!

Please note that our church is fully accessible. We have a ramp as well as a lift to help those who find stairs difficult. Our cheerful greeters will be happy to assist you! Ensuring accessibility is just one of the ways that the members of Emmanuel seek to challenge ourselves as a congregation and as individuals to grow as a caring and sharing spiritual family, to welcome anyone and everyone who would like to share in the life of our church family, and to be a good neighbour.

As a Christian body and a congregation of The United Church of Canada, we seek to be an open and friendly congregation dedicated to inclusiveness and community. We are an Affirming Ministry — part of a network of primarily United Church ministries that declare themselves to be fully inclusive of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.

We also have a community garden that allows us to reach out to the community and share with others in being good stewards of God’s green Earth.

Our vision statement

It is our mission at Emmanuel United Church to share God’s love through worship, study, work, action and fellowship.

We celebrate God’s goodness in a safe, nurturing environment for people diverse in age, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, economic status, ethnicity, family configuration, belief, personality and appearance and include all in the life and work of our ministry.

We are dedicated to being good stewards of God’s world, working and living toward justice and freedom for God’s people locally, nationally and globally.

We recognize the richness all of this brings to our church, even as it challenges us to walk with Christ down roads we have not yet travelled.
